Learning Outcomes : Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: • recognize the basic characteristics of the main methods of Instrumental Chemical Analysis and the corresponding instrumentation. • interpret the obtained diagrams (spectra, chromatograms, thermograms) and evaluate the qualitative and quantitative information they contain. • select the appropriate method or combination of methods of Instrumental Chemical Analysis for solving a specific analytical problem. • calculate the quantity of chemical species present in a sample based on the quantitative information (signal intensity, peak area) of the Instrumental analysis method. • evaluate, statistically process and present the results of the specific analytical problem in their final form. • propose a method for validating the instrumental analysis method chosen.
