Learning Outcomes : Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: • Design a pumping installation, selecting appropriate pipelines, pumps, and accessories for the successful transfer of the desired quantity of liquid. • Estimate the energy losses and requirements of a pumping installation. • Select an air compressor for gas transfer and estimate energy requirements. • Implement a simple control system using microcontrollers. • Install sensors (temperature, pressure, proximity, etc.) and collect and process data from them. • Select electric motors for various uses.
