This course introduces students to the systematic study and use of the English language within academic and social contexts. Emphasis is placed on developing linguistic awareness and communicative competence through the exploration of authentic texts and everyday language use. Students gradually expand their vocabulary, consolidate their understanding of core grammatical and syntactic structures, and strengthen their ability to comprehend and produce both spoken and written English. By the end of the course, students are expected to attain a language proficiency level corresponding to A2–B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Assessment is based on a written examination at the end of the third semester. No examinations are conducted at the end of the first or second semester.

Learning Outcomes : The objectives of the English Language course in the first semester are as follows:
To develop students’ awareness of the English language and its use in a range of communicative situations and social contexts, fostering overall linguistic awareness.
To progressively enrich students’ vocabulary through exposure to authentic texts.
To provide systematic practice in fundamental grammatical and syntactic structures of the language.
To enhance students’ ability to comprehend and produce relatively simple spoken and written discourse.
The course aims to develop language proficiency at levels A2–B1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
