Learning Outcomes : Successful completion of the course yields a series of learning outcomes based on which the student will be able to: - Understand the basic principles of Kinematics of rigid bodies and mechanisms in space and plane. - Understand the causes (force and torque) that produce motion, in relation to the mass of the body and its distribution (moment of inertia). - Calculate the dynamic support reactions of moving bodies: plates, shafts, etc. - Understand the transition from Newtonian mechanics with Cartesian coordinates and the explicit appearance of force, to Lagrangian mechanics. - Understand the basic principles of mechanical vibration elements of mechanical systems, forced or unforced, and damped vibrations.
