Learning Outcomes : Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: - Define what certification and accreditation are. - Explain the basic elements of Total Quality. - Describe the Deming Cycle. - State the basic points of Juran s teachings. - Distinguish the stages of standard application in a measurement and testing laboratory. - Distinguish statistical control in processes with variables and in processes with attributes. - Prepare data sheets for control charts. - Process data from control charts. - Evaluate results from statistical control. - Know the provisions of the Industrial Emissions Directive for BAT application. - Combine the above knowledge for the development of an environmental management system. - Classify cost categories appropriate for estimating the cost of quality. - Synthesize cost of quality estimation tables.
