The aim of the course is to equip students with the necessary knowledge background regarding the financial function of modern enterprises. Within the framework of the course, the following topics are analyzed:
1. Financial Accounting: Basic principles and preparation of financial statements, accounts, journal, recording of accounting events.
2. Financial Analysis: Assessment of a firm’s financial performance, analysis of financial statements using financial ratios.
3. Cost Accounting & Budgets: Basic costing principles, preparation of budgets.
4. Financial Decisions: Financing decisions, investment appraisal techniques.
5. Laboratory exercise on the evaluation of the financial function of enterprises.
