Learning Outcomes : Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have understood: • the types of chemical reactors for homogeneous and heterogeneous processes • the use of each reactor depending on the reacting system and production requirements • the connection of chemical kinetics with the hydraulic characteristics of a chemical reactor • the design equations of chemical reactors that will result from the corresponding mass and energy balances. • the methodology for calculating the size of a reactor • the dynamic behavior and stable operation of reactors (basic knowledge). The final goal is the sizing and operating conditions of a chemical reactor for a specific product requirement.

Familiarization with commercial software. -Investment sustainability study. The course includes the conduction of an integrated design topic.
