Learning Outcomes : Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to: • Estimate the quantities and qualitative characteristics of liquid and solid waste of a settlement. • Describe the wastewater treatment requirements from legislation. • Design a complete urban or industrial wastewater treatment plant. • Design an an integrated solid waste management system. • Compare alternative solid waste management systems. • Estimate the impact of air emissions depending on weather conditions. • Design chimneys and air pollution control facilities.
