Methodology of design and construction of building projects. Spatial design: Activities and equipment, Basic sizes, Human scale, Ergonomics. Introduction to architecture: Architectural Design of small and medium-sized buildings. Introduction to bioclimatic and sustainable design. Design and description of load-bearing structure: Layout of load-bearing elements - slabs, beams, columns, foundations. Structural formwork drawing. Materials and methods of construction: Selection of materials for external building shell, internal partitions, floors, insulation, windows. Natural materials and building methods. Elements of organization and set-up of an architectural study.

Learning Outcomes : Με την επιτυχή ολοκλήρωση του μαθήματος, οι φοιτητές θα είναι σε θέση να:
1. Συνθέτουν ένα κτιριακό έργο μικρής ή μεσαίας κλίμακας.
2. Σχεδιάζουν κτίρια συμβατικής κατασκευής με φέροντα οργανισμό από οπλισμένο σκυρόδεμα.
3. Εκπονούν μια αρχιτεκτονική μελέτη.
4. Ελέγχουν δοκούς, πλάκες, υποστυλώματα με βάση τα αρχιτεκτονικά σχέδια.
