Upon successful completion of the course, the student is able to: recognize and classify the non-linear dynamic phenomena which they encounter. understand the concept and types of bifurcation of non-linear dynamic systems. produce phase portraits of dynamic systems. understand the concept of chaotic behavior of deterministic systems and the mechanisms through which this behavior arises. know characteristic phenomena of non-linear dynamics that are encountered in ship behavior. conduct research in the subject, for broadening and redefining existing knowledge or existing professional practice. The course also helps in cultivating the following general skills: searching, analyzing and synthesizing data and information, with the use of necessary technologies. autonomous work. promotion of free, creative and inductive thinking.
