The course includes the following modules: Basic concepts and definitions of Electronic Commerce. E-commerce implementation strategy. Analysis of Business Models with the help of the Internet (e-business models). E-retail. E-learning. Collaborative E-commerce and Supply Chain Management (e-supply chains). Online Content Management Systems. Infrastructure and Software Technologies for implementing e-commerce business applications. Security & Electronic Payment Systems. Wireless E-commerce (m-commerce). Evaluation and Key Performance Indicators of E-commerce operation. Critical analysis of E-commerce applications & future trends. The course includes a major 10-week project aiming at developing a business plan (e-business plan) for a new or existing online business with emphasis on the innovation of offered products and/or services.
