Learning Outcomes : Skills to be acquired by the student • Recognition of physical quantities related to hydraulic works (e.g., rainfall) as well as the uncertainty they entail • Familiarization with tools for managing the uncertainty of hydrological quantities, mainly with methods of Probability theory and Statistics • Mathematical formulation of hydraulic works design problems • Recognition of hydrological quantities that can be measured • Application of techniques for processing and quality control of hydrological data • Familiarization with bibliographic sources for drawing information on hydrological quantities which, in typical hydraulic works studies, are not measured • Interpretation of the results of hydrological data processing towards the formulation of a technical solution.
