Learning Outcomes : Upon successful completion of the course, the student develops skills and is able to: • Determine and analyze the role, structure, characteristics, peculiarities, and design requirements of transport systems. • Formulate and apply the general design process of transport systems (four-step process) and its individual methods and techniques. • Apply methods and tools for estimating and forecasting future travel demand, distribution, mode choice, and traffic assignment. • Apply the 4-step process for estimating the loads of a transport network. • Apply survey techniques and data collection in transport. • Analyze and evaluate the operation and performance of transport systems. • Design the basic elements of urban transport systems. • Develop the basic structure of sustainable urban mobility plans.
