7. Impact Assessment Techniques (Impact Matrices)
8. Life Cycle Analysis
9. Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment (Institutional framework, process)
10. Remedial Measures (Planning, Adaptation, Evaluation, Validation)
11. Analysis of EIA/EIA case studies
In the context of thιs course, an assignment related to the development of an EIA study of an existing
project/plan is given to the students to work in groups.

Learning Outcomes : Upon successful completion of the course, the student develops skills and is able to: • Understand the institutional framework of environmental permitting at European and national level • Understand basic concepts of environmental impact assessment and strategic environmental impact assessment, • Analyze the state of the natural and anthropogenic environment of an area, 2 • Estimate and evaluate environmental impacts on the natural and anthropogenic environment during the construction, implementation and operation of a project and/or activity using methodological approaches, • Respond to all stages of environmental permitting of a project, an activity, a plan or a program (e.g. consultation etc.), • Draft an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) or Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment (SEIA) in accordance with the applicable institutional framework.
