Introduction to modern decision support systems. Business and Data Analytics. Laboratory exercises (case study applications) with the help of computers and the use of spreadsheet software for supporting business decisions. The course deals with linear programming problems, integer programming problems, goal-seeking problems, techno-economic analysis of investment problems, warehouse and logistics network management problems, simulation, heuristic methods, expert systems, network analysis and project problems, decision support systems, decision analysis, product distribution network analysis, basic principles of business intelligence systems (structure, operation, interfaces), enterprise data warehouses – basic concepts and functions, multidimensional analysis of business data, reporting and data visualization - software tools.
